This is something new I want to try: a monthly (or so) post with some site news and other information. Just to keep you up to date with what I’m doing in this space, and what I’m thinking about doing. Consider it a peek behind the curtain.

A Note of Thanks

I don’t thank all of you enough. You being the people who come back regularly (or even just once in a while) to read what I publish here.

To be honest, I don’t know how many people read The Plain Text Project. I don’t track visitors or use analytics, and to be honest that doesn’t really matter to me all that much. Sure, more readers would be great but if this site’s helping even a handful of people then I’m doing something right.

Please keep coming coming back. I have a lot to share, and some of it might even interest you. And if you know people who are interested in embracing the plain text life, please send them this way.

Interview Series

In 2018, as you might remember, I started a interview series called Eight Questions For …. The initial response was strong, though the series petered out a bit.

The series is still alive. Maybe not kicking, but alive. If you want to share your plain text story, get in touch. You don’t need to be a guru, techie, expert, or anything like that. I’m just as interested in hearing from writers, students, office workers, or anyone else who’s found plain text to be a useful part of their work and life.

Merchandise

A couple of months ago, a friend half jokingly suggested that I start selling some Plain Text Project merchandise. I filed that idea in the back of my head, but recently a couple of folks who read this site suggested the same thing.

I’m starting to think that having some branded merch might just be an idea with legs. Don’t worry: I’m not going to go all commercial and kitschy. I was thinking of maybe selling t-shirts and stickers.
